I am the owner of Mondo Tappeti, Darius Abbasi. Born in Tehran in 1979, I began my artistic training at the renowned Art Academic Complex in Tehran. After settling in Italy for over 25 years, I have developed a unique artistic production, where the profound refinement of Persian tradition meets the essential lines and innovation of contemporary design.
My creative process stems from a meticulous dialogue between artistic vision and craftsmanship. Each rug takes shape from an original design, conceived to transform the traditional rug into a modern and distinctive work of art.
The manufacturing process is entrusted to master artisans who meticulously follow my instructions on the loom. The uniqueness of each piece is guaranteed by the exclusive use of the highest quality natural materials â pure wool, silk, and cotton â dyed with natural colors.
The essence of my work lies in the encounter between the art of painting and the centuries-old tradition of weaving, giving life to tangible works of bold, original, and unrepeatable character.
